Christmas Adventures

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! ...

Christmas with a difference maybe?

Our Christmas is going to be way different this year – but last year it was altogether unusual and amazing because we went to Belgium for our Cyclocross riders to race the ‘Christmas Cross races’ and the World Cups.  Unfortunately, for obvious reasons, those races are not happening this year for Junior categories, so we get to stay home alone.  But, we still want to have the best fun, so what would make a great Christmas Adventure?

Well, we’ve been thinking and I’m sure you’ve got some great ideas you can share too.

  • What about riding from dawn to dusk on the shortest day of the year?  A feat that could also be repeated on the longest day of the year if you wish or reversed from dusk till dawn? For information purposes: the shortest day of the year is Monday 21st December, lasting approximately 7 hours and 50 minutes.
  • A Christmas day ride – even better if your route makes a festive picture!
  • Ride to the highest point in your local area.  You could get a non-bike riding house-mate to meet you there with a hot flask of something special.
  • From our house to yours?  Pick a friend a little way away and plan a ride to their house for a socially distanced coffee and mince-pie in their garden.

Whatever you decide to do, let us know, send us you pics, add your brilliant ideas to the list!

Happy Christmas!
